We're looking for a SHE Advisor to join our Natural Resources Team for our Severn Trent framework, based from a mixture of home and our CSO Severn Trent sites across Leicestershire. 

Location: Working from home and from sites across Leicestershire. 

Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part-time hours may be available if desired, just let us know.

Responsibilities

As a SHE Advisor, you'll be working within our Natural Resources business unit, supporting our site teams in ensuring safety standards are upheld and to advise on minimising and avoiding risks around day-to-day work. Nothing is so urgent that we cannot take time to do it safely. You'll be supporting them in managing works on the CSO programme (The Combined Sewer Overflows), the work will focus on the upgrading of assets to deal with the increased demand of water systems due to storm water and the increased use of treatment works. With lots of work secured and more to coming in the next AMP, now's a good time to join us as a seasoned Advisor with or without water industry experience or if looking for a change we'll help train you.  

Your day to day will include:

• Actively promoting Safety, Health and Welfare, leading and setting a good example to other employees and stakeholders.
• Working closely with the operational teams in carrying out their roles and SHE responsibilities.
• Assisting the operational teams in developing Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
• Conduct regular and robust health and safety Inspections & Audits.

What are we looking for?

This role of SHE Advisor is great for you if you:

• Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
• NEBOSH certificate in occupational health & safety.
• Membership of relevant professional institution (e.g., IOSH, IEMA).
• Experience within either civil engineering, construction environment or with the Water or utilities sector.
