We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Transportation team based in Manchester / North West. In this role you'll work on a recently secured project to replace significant number of existing highway bridges.

Location: Salford, Greater Manchester - remote working available, with travel to the office and site located in Cumbria
Contract: Permanent Fulltime with some flexibility on hours
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per year + £5,900 annual car allowance + private healthcare + benefits
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the commercial aspects of packages of work within the project to maximise planned gross margin through the production of estimates, placement and control of contracts and subcontracts
Your day to day will include:
- Provide commercial expertise to contracts, to include the production and submission of estimates, valuations, claims, budget monitoring, and contract/workstream performance data
- Lead the procurement of significant works packages to support the delivery of the project to delivery best value and to comply with Group standards.
- Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks and implement Kier Group's policies for risk management
- Support the authorisation and submission of project variations, and to prepare and let subcontracts, material and plant orders
- Maximise cash flow through the control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great if you have:
- Experience within a similar role in Construction/Highways/Infrastructure
- Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office in particular Excel
- Excellent Communication skills both written and verbally
- Must be flexible in hours of work and travel
