We're looking for a Section Engineer to join our Natural Resources team, working on projects in the Thames Valley region (North). In this role you will support various projects on the Thames Water WAAP Programme and help deliver the requirements of the individual project to both above and below ground assets.

Location:  Working from sites within the north Thames region valley, Reading/Oxfordshire.
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part time hours may be available if desired, just let us know

 

Responsibilities

We're looking for a Section Engineer to join our NRNN business unit Water business unit. In this role you'll work with the project delivery team to provide levelling and surveying support to the construction works. Working with site plans, drawings schedules and construction information models, setting out using various methods including GPS, Total Station, laser level and liaising with designers & engineers to ensure plans and drawings are accurate.

 

Your day to day will include:

 Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives.

  • Manage and establishing survey controls, setting gridlines, conducting levelling, traversing, and other land surveying activities, ITP's.
  • Consistently and accurately documenting survey data onsite according to specified criteria.
  • Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations, ensuring all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications.
  • Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.


\What are we looking for?


This Section Engineer is great for you if you have:

  • Degree/HND or equivalent and a CSCS and SMSTS Card holder.
  • Experience within a civil engineering or construction environment and with demonstrable experience in the Water sector.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
