This plan focuses on maintaining high-quality drinking water, ensuring water supply security, delivering environmental improvements, and enhancing network resilience to address challenges such as an ageing asset base, climate change, and population growth.

Kier has been appointed to United Utilities' specialist framework as part of the Asset Management Programme (AMP) 8 cycle (2025–2030). This major investment aims to deliver cleaner rivers and improved water quality across the North West. Kier will play a crucial role in delivering these enhancements, contributing to environmental sustainability and community well-being.

Wessex Water

Join us in delivering sustainable water solutions! 

Kier has been appointed by Wessex Water to their Capital Delivery Partner Framework for its Asset Management Period 8 (AMP8). The appointment is for an initial term of six years, with the option to extend the agreement for an additional five years. Projects expected to be awarded via the framework involve the construction of new assets, alongside the refurbishment, modification, and maintenance of existing assets, both above and below ground. They will include bioresource schemes, works on supply and waste networks, capital maintenance projects, water and wastewater processing, and environmental monitoring.  

Key facts about Wessex Water: 

  • Provides clean water services to 1.4 million customers
  • Offers sewerage services to 2.9 million customers
  • Manages 35,000 km of sewers and 12,000 km of water mains
  • Operates 231 water sources and treatment centres 
Southern Water

Join our partnership with Southern Water for groundbreaking AMP8 projects! 

Kier has been appointed by Southern Water Services to their £3.1bn Strategic Development Partnership Framework for its Asset Management Period 8 (AMP8). The appointment is for an initial term of seven years, with the option to extend the agreement for an additional five years. Projects expected to be awarded under the framework include increases in capacity at water supply and wastewater treatment sites, alongside works to improve water safety, quality, recycling, and resilience. Kier will provide strategic planning, design, and construction management services across both water and wastewater projects.

  • Serves 2.5 million households
  • Treats and recycles wastewater from more than 4.7 million households
  • Manages a network of 53,470 km of clean and wastewater pipelines
  • Operates 458 water treatment works
Yorkshire Water

Yorkshire and the Humber

Help revolutionise Yorkshire Water for AMP8!

Kier has been appointed to Yorkshire Water’s £850m complex non-infrastructure works framework, covering the delivery period for capital investment programme, AMP8 (2025–2030). Through this framework, Kier will provide expertise in civil engineering, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA), and building works to enhance Yorkshire Water’s clean water and wastewater networks across the region.
