We're looking for a Pre-construction Manager to join our UKPN team based in London.

As a Pre-Construction Contract Manager working as part of the UKPN framework leadership team reporting onto the Framework Director, you'll lead a team with a diverse skill base through the preconstruction process to develop a portfolio of up to £30m of individual projects ranging from £500k to £15m.  The projects will include works such as cable renewal & installation, overhead lines, and substation infrastructure to support the client and their customer base build a sustainable network for the future. 

Location: Hybrid Working (with base location of Newington House, Elephant and Castle) min 4 day per week in office

Hours: 45 hours per week

What will you be responsible for?

Your day to day as a Pre-construction Manager will include:

• Operating as part of the Framework Leadership team and representing the KIER brand to the client, their customers and the Framework delivery team.
• Leading your team to convert concept schemes into deliverable projects including programmes, estimates of cost, feasibility studies, providing regular internal and client facing position and performance reports.
• Work collaboratively with the team to Lead the development of comprehensive risk management strategies and associated mitigation measures to ensure the projects are de-risked during the Pre-Construction period and appropriate risk provisions are made with the client.
• Engaging with the KIER Natural Resource Nuclear and Networks senior team to facilitate project lifecycle governance.
• Overseeing the management of all interfaces between Stakeholders from within and outside UKPN and Alliance partners.

What are we looking for?

This role of Pre-construction Manager is great for you if:

• Previous Pre-Construction experience on projects up to £15m with strong experience of leading multi disciplined teams.
• Have a strong knowledge of NEC contracting.
• Have operated at a mid to senior level within a tier 1 contracting organisation.
• Have experience in developing and delivering projects from concept through design and construction to completion efficiently, adding value throughout the process.
