Kier Group are looking for an MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our MEP Division in the North East.
This role will join KME which is the internal MEP self delivery business within Kier Group.
Location: North East
Contract: Full Time, Permanent. Ask us about other flexible options.
What will you be responsible for?
As an MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be joining the KME team working closely with our Kier Build colleagues.
What can you expect for your day to day?
- Ensure compliance with the project's procurement strategy, including subcontract inquiries and tender reviews.
- Manage valuations, project cashflows, and turnover forecasts, including monthly cost reports and progress records.
- Provide legal and contractual advice on orders and changes, handling notices and subcontractor administration.
- Drive commercial initiatives, producing margin improvement plans and supporting team members in maximizing opportunities.
- Lead and manage junior staff, ensuring workload targets, deadlines, and commercial tasks are met and updated monthly.
What are we looking for?
In an MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor, we're ideally looking for:
- Prior experience working for a Contractor and a Technical understanding of MEP systems.
- A clear understanding of the different forms of contracts.
- The ability to work collaboratively and part of a team.
