Location: Wymondham, Basingstoke, Birmingham and Twyford, travel between other sites and offices too
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know
What will you be responsible for?
As HR Business Partner you'll be working within the HR team, supporting them in partnering the respective Kier Transportation management team members, across a range of contracts with a strong focus on providing an innovative, effective and customer focused service. Driving and delivering the people plan supporting the business strategy and embedding the wider Kier people strategy.
Your day to day will include:
- Supporting the Head of HR with managing the implementation of a commercially focused, legally compliant, people plan supporting thebusiness strategy, partnering with the Operational or Functional lead working as a credible and trusted partner, bringing people expertise and developing solutions, helping each business area in achieving its strategy
- Delivering and designing transparent people practices helping in developing and maintaining a positive working relationship between the company and its people, demonstrating an excellent understanding of the company, its strategy and customers, and the people challenges facing the company.
- Co-ordinating and managing all employee relations activities within the designated areas of responsibility
- Working collaboratively with Group HR functions and centres of excellence providing best practice advice and supporting across the business stream, taking full responsibility and ownership of people data and work proactively with HR shared service providing seamless transactional support to the business stream
- Acting as a local point of people expertise for specialist teams that are implementing new people approaches, using data, metrics and evidence impacting change, driving decision making, resolving and identifying solutions to complex problems across business areas
What are we looking for?
This role of HR Business Partner is great for you if:
- You are degree qualified (or qualified by experience), high potential HR professional with experience of business partnering in medium / large organisations
- Demonstrate a highly collaborative working style, working knowledge of people related activities to demobilisation and mobilisation of contracts, along with well developed employee engagement and employee relations skills with up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation
- Drive and hold a full licence
