We're looking for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our Kier Places team based in Solihull, West Midlands.

Location: Solihull, West Midlands, with travel to various Kier offices / sites
Contract: Permanent, full time - 40hours per week
Salary: £29,250 per annum
Start date: September 2025

As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the commercial resources aspects of the assigned project (or section) to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts.
As part of your role as Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks and implement group policies for risk management. You will support the compilation, authorisation, and submission of project variations.
Your role will be to compile and place, subcontracts, material, and plant orders. You will take accountability for maximising cash flow through the control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers.
Your day to day will include:
- You will be familiar with QS standards to comply with corporate governance, standards, and procedures.
- Maximise the planned gross margin on projects and support the achievement of the project's budgeted profitability.
- Tender, evaluate, recommend, and appoint consultants, subcontractors and place orders for materials and plant all within delegated authorities.
- You will identify/ evaluate, communicate, negotiate, and agree variations to contracts with customers and suppliers within delegated authorities and requirements of the contract.

What are we looking for?
We're looking for people due to graduate in 2025, or have recently graduated within the past three years, with a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
