We're looking for an Environmental Manager to join our Eastern & Midlands Construction team based in Cambridge.

 

Location: Waterbeach, Cambridge - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required

Contract: Full time, permanent – flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know

 

What will you be responsible for?

As an Environmental Manager you'll be working within the Construction, supporting them in providing specialist environmental and sustainability advice to support pre-construction and construction teams with the development of large, world-class building and infrastructure projects.

Your day to day will include:

  • Manage Environmental Advisors within the team to ensure adequate resource allocation, quality of work and completion against project programme.
  • Input into pre-qualification responses and provide tender support for bids
  • Review pre-construction information to evaluate environmental sustainability risks and opportunities
  • Work with pre-construction and project team to deliver sustainable outcomes and manage environmental risk
  • Identify and work with competent consultants/service providers of environmental sustainability services to preconstruction and operational teams

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Environmental Manager is great for you if:

  • You're be proficient in the use of MS Office and have prior knowledge / experience of sustainability schemes such as BREEAM/ DREAM/ CEEQUAL.
  • Ability to produce clear written and spoken instruction to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Thrive working with a large cross section of stakeholders across the business to provide environmental expertise / advice.
