As a Technical Director within our M&E Services business (KME), you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, sustainable construction projects across the UK.

📍 Location: National (Agile working available by agreement)
📅 Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
📢 Business Area: Kier Construction – Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME)

 

What can you expect to be doing?

As Technical Director, you'll report to the Regional Director and provide strategic and functional leadership across our MEP services. You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading operational performance, consistency, and standards across pre-construction, delivery, and aftercare.
  • Driving compliance with SHE, environmental, planning, and technical standards—including the Building Safety Act.
  • Championing digital transformation through tools like Biosite, Novade, Procore, and Power BI.
  • Shaping and delivering quality business plans, SHE strategies, and 90-day plans.
  • Inspiring and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of inclusion, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with senior leaders to enhance customer delivery through modern methods of construction and digital innovation.

 

What will you bring to the table?

  • Proven leadership in MEP or construction environments, ideally across both public and private sectors.
  • Strong understanding of SHE, quality, planning, and digital systems.
  • Experience across large-scale projects (ÂŁ5m–£200m) with agility and strategic foresight.
  • A collaborative, emotionally intelligent leadership style that empowers teams and drives results.
  • Passion for innovation, sustainability, and developing future talent.
