Location: Yeovil, Somerset

Hours: Full time of 40 hour per week, Monday to Friday on a 6 month fixed term contract.  

What will you be responsible for?

As a Reactive Maintenance Supervisor, you will be assisting the Reactive Works Manager with the reactive works elements of Highways maintenance activities on the Somerset Highways Term Service Contract. This role will oversee the timely development/delivery of reactive maintenance, emergency response & adverse weather service for Kier

Your day to day will include:

• Daily allocation and supervision of works and resources to ensure compliance with program and the maintenance requirement plan
• Assist in emergency response, organize remedial repairs,
• Undertake site inductions/briefings/Toolbox talks and maintain records of site inductions/briefings/ Toolbox talks
• Actively promote Health and Safety in the workplace, setting a good example to other employees and ensuring awareness of and compliance with general Health and Safety responsibilities as set out in the Health and Safety Management System (SHEMS)
• Understanding and implementation of the Somerset IMS to ensure that processes/procedures are understood and followed

• Experience of working within the highways industry including knowledge of network operations and scheme delivery
• Good communication skills across all levels
• Computer literate with regards to Microsoft
