We're currently looking to recruit multiple site managers in Newton Abbot, South Devon working on expanding HMP Channings Wood.
This is a fantastic opportunity to really get your teeth stuck into a project of varying scope to deliver state-of-the-art construction including two new fully electric, energy efficient X-shaped T60 houseblocks.

What will you be responsible for?
This role as site manager on HMP Channings Wood is a fantastic opportunity to expand your skills whilst working alongside a team of construction experts.
It's the opportunity to be part of something bigger, working on a major Government construction contract that will provide a critical asset to the local area.
Within this site manager role, you'll report to the Project Manager and your main responsibilities will include:
- managing and directing sub-contractor partners, ensuring work packages are delivered safely,
- checking work carried out by those sub-contractors and assessing the delivery is in line with programme design drawings and quality standards,
- review risk assessments and method statements from sub-contractors to ensure working methods outlined are safe and appropriate,
- carry out toolbox talks and site inductions to ensure full compliance with Kier standards,
- co-ordinate site logistics, movement of plant and labour too, from an around site ensuring safety is maintained in doing so.
What are we looking for?
This role of site manager is great for you if you have:
- relevant construction qualification (HND/ Degree / SVQ) or technical trade or equivalent,
- SMSTS 5 Day Cert,
- CSCS Card,
- First aid training
