We're looking for a SHE Manager to join our Anglian Water team 

 

Location: Ely/ Norfolk- mixture of office and visiting sites and home working 

Hours: 45 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

 

In this role, you will be working on the Integrated Maintenance, Repair & Developer Services alliance (IMRDS). The team maintain the water supply systems, repair emergencies like water bursts and develop new ways to better service customers.

 

What will you be responsible for?

As a SHE Manager, you'll be working within the capital main laying team, who are committed to delivering high-quality, efficient solutions for crucial infrastructure projects.

 

You will motivate and drive the wider SHE team to a high performing state where they provide first class support to operational teams at all levels and together promote safety, ensure mitigation against risk and drive improvement in SHE performance across the alliance. 

 

Your day to day will include:

  • Actively promote safety, health and environment topics, leading and setting a good example to other employees, alliance partners and stakeholders
  • Day-to-day management and leadership of the IMRDS SHE team
  • Develop and maintain the safety management system within the alliance in line with the needs of the partners management systems (Kier, Anglian Water & Clancy)
  • Work closely with the operational teams to support them in fulfilling their SHE responsibilities and providing timely and effective advice
  • Ensure that all SHE reporting requirements are provided accurately & timely as well as ensuring all accidents, incidents and near misses are effectively investigated 

 

What are we looking for?

This role of SHE Manager is great for you if you hold:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent 
  • Membership of relevant professional institution 
  • Experience of practical Health & Safety within the construction/ utilities sector
  • Experience of incident investigation and reporting 
  • Full driving licence
