We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Site Manager to join our team in a key commercial role, working on a large construction project in South Devon.

 

Kier Construction have a thriving business in the South West, which delivers projects within healthcare, education, local authority, commercial and leisure.  As a leading main contractor in the area we pride ourselves on commitment to the region and the capability to deliver high value, technically complex projects that benefit the local communities. 

 

Location: South Devon.

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

 

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Site Manager you'll be working within the Site Team, supporting them with projects that support and develop the local communities.

Your day to day will include:

  • Taking a proactive role in ensuring the safe delivery of construction works on site.
  • Ensuring quality is maintained to Kier Standards through the effective supervision of sub contractors and Kier staff on site.
  • Delivering  site operational targets in line with programme.
  • Offering to emerging challenges on site and direct those under supervision to carry out works efficiently, safely and to standard.
  • Ensuring that the Project Manager is aware of any site issues in a timely manner and assist in the resolution thereof.

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Site Manager is great for you if:

  • You can demonstrate experience managing site on large projects within the main contractor environment. 
  • You hold Relevant Construction Qualification (HND/ Degree / SVQ) or Technical Trade.
  • You have certifications (SMSTS 5 Day Cert, CSCS Card, First Aid).
  • Put safety at the forefront of everything you do.
