Location: Southwark, London
Hours: 45 hours per week
What will you be responsible for?
As Senior Quantity Surveyor you'll be working within the Commercial team, managing project delivery on the Surface Transport Infrastructure Construction Framework (STIC), including contract administration of an NEC4 ECC framework throughout all stages of project life cycles for call off contracts ranging from £500k to £40m. You will be proactively maximising and improving profitability whilst maintaining a high-quality standard of work
Your day to day will include:
- Preparing bills of quantities from design drawings using a bespoke schedule of rates and pricing new rates from first principals where required, compiling and agreeing call off contracts with the client (Transport for London) using standard contract templates and obtaining internal approvals from signatories, compiling and agreeing subcontracts with Tarmac Kier Joint Venture (TKJV) supply chain using standard subcontract templates
- Using TfL contract software (A-Site) in managing all contract administration, issuing EWN's, NCE's and QUO's within contractual timescales, managing subcontractor relationships and all contract administration including mitigating raised EWN's, assessing NCE's and QUO's within contractual timescales
- Application and assessment of interim applications and certifications monthly, preparation of cost value reconciliations, presenting these results on a monthly basis
- Preparing monthly cash flow forecasts, submitting and negotiating final accounts with both the client and supply chain
- Working with delivery teams in finding efficiencies, increasing margin and mitigating potential risks, internal administration, raising supply chain frameworks and orders for approval
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
- You hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering, with previous experience within a commercially focused environment and an understanding of the Highways method of measurement
- Have experience preparing take offs and bills of quantities directly from highways designs
- Are comfortable in the control and management of all subcontractor elements with detailed contract experience using the NEC form of contract and various options
