Kier Group are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) which is our internal MEP Self Delivery business.

This role will join a large scale, complex development in the Weybridge area where we're delivering a new build Laboratory and Research Facility.

 

Location: Weybridge Area

Contract: Full Time, Permanent. Ask us about other flexible options.

 

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be joining the Kier Mechanical & Electrical team.

What can you expect for your day to day?

  • Ensure compliance with the project's procurement strategy, including subcontract inquiries and tender reviews.
  • Manage valuations, project cashflows, and turnover forecasts, including monthly cost reports and progress records.
  • Provide legal and contractual advice on orders and changes, handling notices and subcontractor administration.
  • Drive commercial initiatives, producing margin improvement plans and supporting team members in maximizing opportunities.
  • Lead and manage junior staff, ensuring workload targets, deadlines, and commercial tasks are met and updated monthly.

 

What are we looking for?

In a Senior Quantity Surveyor, we're ideally looking for:

  • Prior experience working in a Commercial role for a contractor, ideally with MEP exposure.
  • Experience with a variety of contract forms.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and part of a team.
