Are you an experienced Senior Project Manager?  Then perhaps you can leave your mark on HMP Glasgow, one of Scotland's largest construction projects, conveniently located circa 10 miles North East of the Glasgow city. We have an excellent opportunity for a (INSERT JOB TITLE) to join our HMP Glasgow team.

 

This could be your opportunity to get involved in delivering modern new-build custodial facility,  delivering a secure, energy efficient and high specification prison for 200 inmates and staff. 

 

Location: Glasgow, Scotland 

Contract: Permanent, full time, permanent, flexibility can be considered simply outline in your application. 

 

What will you be responsible for? 

 

The Senior Project Manager will take a role that will lead on delivery of 5 large house blocks that will be delivered via DFMA methodology to provide safe, secure, energy efficient facilities for 1800 inmates. With cumulative construction value in excess of £200M the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for a key work front managing delivery teams to ensure safety and quality whilst maintaining programme performance. 

 

Key accountabilities may include, but not be limited to: 

  • Lead project work fronts through preconstruction to completion and handover
  • Ensure that work progresses safely and in line with Kier and client quality expectations.
  • Ensure that detailed plans are developed commensurate with the overall project plan in order that material/resources/supply chain can be manages to ensure work front performance.
  • Manage the supply chain to deliver projects to time, cost, quality, safety and sustainability requirements in line with Kier expectations
  • Manage external consultants (design etc) that are required to enable delivery, driving value, customer focus and achievement of the project's objectives
  • Be aware of industry best practice in MMC – specifically DFMA delivery methodology
  • Ensure that all the house block delivery leads comply with the Business Management System through support and audit.
  • Participate in audit and assurance of the operations team, identifying good practice and areas for improvement and ensure these are captured in the strategy.
  • Ensure effective records are maintained and kept for project delivery

 

We want to hear from you if you have: (Qualifications and Accreditations)

 

  • Relevant Degree (or equivalent) Qualification in Construction Management or Engineering Discipline.
  • Proven track record in delivery of large projects within the main contractor environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing people, programme and budgets on large construction programmes
  • SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid certifications.
  • UK Driving License.
