We're looking for a Senior Planner to join our Scottish business. The Planner will work across a variety of projects in a flexible role that will offer working from office, project site and home locations.
Location: Stepps , Scotland
Hours: 40 Hours per week, we can consider flexible working patterns
What will you be responsible for?
As Senior Planner you will take a key role in ensuring that our project programmes are effective and achievable by offering subject matter expertise at tender and delivery stage of high value, technically complex construction projects.
Your day to day will include:
Tender / Pre Construction:
- In collaboration with senior personnel discuss options, sequence, and methodology
- Analyse Tender documents and identify required planning responses
- Investigate and recommend alternative and innovative solutions with change impact assessment
- Chair and minute programme, logistic and delivery workshops
- Assess programme and delivery risks and recommend mitigation
- Engage with the supply chain to verify programme issues.
- Support and contribute to the tender quality submission with written responses to
- Provide planning input to the tender submission primarily a whole life programme, logistics plan and method statement
- Provide a planning handover pack for the delivery team
Construction Phase:
- Monitor and update progress and undertake regular progress monitoring drop lines.
- Develop ideas to drive improvement and consistency in the timely delivery of live projects.
- Supporting and mentoring project leads to ensure they have the technical software skills to produce their own regular look ahead programmes.
- Advise on affect of any project slippage on existing programmes and update accordingly.
- Work closely with Project teams to assist in the production of accurate progress reports
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Planner is great for you if:
- You hold relevant construction or engineering qualification (HND Level Min)
- Are comfortable in the day to day Use of Asta Power Project and / or Primavera P6
- You have planning experience gained within a main contactor environment
- You hold a full UK Driving License
