We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join our North West business.
Location: North West - Salford / Speke
Hours: 40 Hours per week.
What will you be responsible for?
The estimator will take a key role in competitive design and build tenders for schemes within Healthcare, Defense, MOJ, Aviation and Life Sciences sectors, liaising with Planners, Design Managers and Preconstruction Managers to deliver innovative cost solutions.
You will ensure accuracy in pricing identifying and reporting on risk and opportunity, scoping and producing accurate net estimates in accordance with Kier Group standards.
Your day to day may include, but not be limited to:
- Preparing competitive estimates and cost plans for large, technically complex construction projects.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding and execution of tender documentation and reporting of findings to various stakeholders.
- Have a diligent approach to the preparation of information to customers and to the checking of information provided by others (Sub contractors)
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to challenge the status quo and apply intelligent solutions to the design management process.
- Coordinating and challenging the input from the wider construction team including procurement.
- Supporting the bid management and quality submission requirement
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Estimator is great for you if:
- HND or Degree in relevant construction discipline such as Quantity Surveying/ Construction Management.
- Experience tendering high value construction projects
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of procurement
- Ability to use estimating software effectively
- Full UK Driving License
