Due to the rapid and exciting growth of our internal environmental consultancy services, we are looking for a Senior Ecologist to join our team.  In this role, you will contribute to a variety of dynamic projects across the UK, spanning the road, rail, water, and property sectors.

Location: Nationwide - travel to sites and offices required with remote working available

Contract: Permanent Fulltime with some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per year + £5.9k annual car allowance + private healthcare benefits

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Ecologist, you will act as a focal point for technical advice, lead on the development of surveys, mitigation and licences, as well as promoting nature-based solutions and innovation across the business.

Your day to day will include:

• Support the delivery of ecological consultancy services across a range of sectors including road, rail, water and property
• Author and review technical ecological documents
• Be responsible for overseeing the management of construction risks associated with ecology
• Lead and input into client, stakeholder and technical meetings
• Actively promote environmental principles, best practice and innovation

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Ecologist is great if you have:

• Ecology degree or equivalent experience
• CIEEM Full member (or working towards), or equivalent
• Hold at least 2 UK protected species licences
• Strong working knowledge and experience of UK Habitat survey, habitat condition assessments, Defra Biodiversity Metric and Biodiversity Net Gain plans
• Full UK driving licence
