We're looking for a Senior Development Manager to join our Kier Property Team based in London.

 

Location: London, - Hybrid working available, with travel to the office required 2-3 Days per week

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

 

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Development Manager, you'll be working within the Kier Property Team, leading and taking responsibility for the team covering all aspects of the development process from the identification of new development opportunities (individual sites, land portfolios and/or corporate acquisitions) through to investment disposal.

Your day to day will include:

  • Seek new opportunities, analysing project appraisals in line with the business strategy and outlining strategies to secure opportunities identified. 
  • Complete Board Papers to obtain approval for projects working with Senior /Development Director and/or Managing Director (Business Unit). 
  • Support presentation of projects at IC to obtain Board Approval.
  • Working with the Senior Project Manager/ Project Director undertake all due diligence prior to purchase ensuring development is in line with project appraisal. 
  • The negotiation and purchase of investments working with Senior/Development Director and/or Managing Director (Business Unit).

 

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Development Manager is great for you if:

  • Experience in the development sector including identifying investments, negotiating lease agreements / end user requirements and ideally investment disposal. 
  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) is encouraged though is not essential.
  • To have shown the ability to motivate and manage both yourself and the whole team.
  • To have shown the ability to work with and negotiate directly ideally with private and public sector clients.
  • Demonstration of commercial awareness.
  • Have shown the ability to build and maintain a network industry contacts.
