Due to the rapid and exciting growth of our internal environmental consultancy services, we are looking for a Senior Carbon Specialist to join our Environmental team. In this role, you will lead on the delivery of carbon services for a range of exciting projects across the UK in the road, rail, water and property sectors.

Location: Nationwide – fully remote working
Contract: Permanent Fulltime with some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
Salary: £38,000 - £43,000 per year + £5.9k annual car allowance + private healthcare benefits
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Carbon Specialist, you will act as a focal point for technical advice, leading on carbon assessments, decarbonization strategies, and net zero goals.
Your day to day will include:
- Support the delivery of carbon consultancy services across a range of sectors including road, rail, water and property
- Help to grow and develop carbon and climate resilience capability within the business
- Support the business in maintaining PAS2080 accreditation and achieving our SBTs
- Conduct detailed carbon assessments for buildings and infrastructure such as Whole Life Carbon Assessments (WLCA) and develop carbon management plans
- Lead and facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions and workshops to promote carbon reduction throughout all project phases
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Carbon Specialist is great if you have:
- Degree in relevant subject or equivalent experience
- Practitioner member of IEMA (or equivalent) and working towards full membership
- Strong working knowledge of WLCA and carbon accounting utilising software such as One Click LCA (or similar)
- Demonstrable experience developing carbon management strategies on a range of projects
- Full UK driving licence
