We're looking for a Section Engineer to join our A417 Transportation team in Gloucester. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring your section of the project meets technical specifications, delivering work safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. Is this you?

Location: Gloucester - site based

Contract: Permanent Fulltime with some flexibility on hours

Salary: £40,000 - £49,000 per year + £5k car allowance + benefits

Responsibilities

As a Section Engineer, you'll work closely with your manager and support your team, build strong relationships with the Client and key Stakeholders.  You'll also take ownership of your section of the project, ensuring it stays on track with agreed timelines and budgets.

Your day to day will include:

• Hold a responsibility for the implementation and maintaining of safe systems of work in accordance with Kier Highways SHEA Policy and procedures, all legal requirements and best practice within Kier Highways major projects
• Work to and understand the Client needs and expectations, the Project Strategy and the objectives of the scheme and promote continuous improvement
• Implementing and maintaining the Scheme Management Plan (SMP) to include the generation of records that show compliance with the SMP and other requirements and may include auditing surveillance
• Ensure that adequate monitoring and supervision arrangements are maintained and clearly defined areas of responsibility for contractors are established and implemented

• Relevant construction related degree/HNC
• Experience in a similar role in construction major projects
• CSCS card
• SMSTS
