We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor in our Glasgow office
Location: Stepps/ Bearsden
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
What will you be responsible for?
As Quantity Surveyor you will split your time between project site and office with opportunity for occasional home working. Initially aligned with a project in Bearsden you will also assist the SCAPE team with project procurement offering a wide variety of activity and exposure.
Your day to day will include:
- Organising the division of projects into component work packages for procurement.
- Assessing returns from sub-contractors and awarding work packages.
- Negotiating with sub-contractor supply chain to achieve best value.
- Managing applications for payment from sub contractors
- Preparation of applications for payment to clients.
- Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports)
- Preparation of final account
What are we looking for?
This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
- Relevant academic qualification – Degree / HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
- Appropriate level of post grad experience within high value construction projects
- Tier 1 Main Contracting Experience
- Understanding of NEC and JCT Contract conditions
- Full UK driving license
