We are seeking a Full Time Quality Engineer to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team. This role will be working in our Environment Sector in alliance with The Environment Agency on our Bridgwater Tidal Barrier major project.

 

Location: Bridgwater Tidal Barrier, Somerset, Bridgewater

Hours: 45 Hours per week 

 

Responsibilities of a Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer you'll be working within the Environment team, supporting and working alongside the project and delivery teams to deliver the Bridgwater Tidal Barrier in alliance with the Environment Agency. You will be responsible for onsite quality control and monitoring of packages of works across complex major project. Packages of works include civils, earthworks, piling, reinforced concrete, cladding, MEICA, internal fit-out.

Your day to day will include:

  • Interface with the delivery team engineers internal quality team and Client Surveillance team and quality representatives.
  • Implementing and ensuring adherence to project procedures, scope, specification, Project Execution Plan (PEP), Project Quality Plan and British/ International Standards.
  • Understand the requirements of product traceability, including product movements, physical product checks, delivery ticket and Certificate of Conformity checks, and approving products for use onsite, material acceptance forms (MAF).
  • Review of quality documentation, including Lifetime Quality Records, End of Construction Records (ECSR), Product Approval Records and project procedures.
  • Carry out quality site inspections to ensure compliance with standards, drawings, and specifications.

  • Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of quality control activities in construction.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to keep clear and accurate records and reports.
  • Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
