We're looking for a Procurement Officer to join our Kier Places procurement team based in Basingstoke.
Location: Basingstoke - hybrid working available, with travel to the office as and when required
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
What will you be responsible for?
As a Procurement Officer you'll be working within the Kier Places Procurement Team, supporting them in the daily tasks of procurement across all projects in both the pre and post contract stages.
Your day to day will include:
- Comply with corporate governance, standards, and procedures.
- To provide support and manage procurement/commercial administrative tasks such as dealing with enquiries, purchasing, monitoring, reporting of work and other routine queries.
- Raise purchase orders (All types) where required.
- Maintain effective work systems, ensuring that all correspondence and documentation is dealt with in a professional manner to meet audit requirements.
What are we looking for?
This role of Procurement Officer is great for you if:
- Diverse and clear communication skills with experience of effective communication with multidisciplinary teams, client teams, sub-contractors, and the wider supply chain
- Administrative experience
- Literate and Numerate.
- Must be flexible and able to work as part of a team and using own initiative.
- Ability to use a range of IT packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke packages.
