We're looking for a Procurement Apprentice to join our Kier Group Services based in Rushden, Northampton, working towards a Level 4 apprenticeship in Procurement.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.

Location: Rushden, Northampton

Hours: 37.5hrs per week 

Salary: £19000 per annum

How does an apprenticeship work?

As a Procurement Apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Level 4 apprenticeship in Procurement, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Procurement team to deliver a high level customer service experience to our internal and external procurement requisitions and enquiries.

Your day to day will include:

• Supporting the Procurement Team to deliver a first-class service to employees and managers across Kier Group by achievement of the teams targets  
• Ensuring appropriate systems of internal control are maintained and development of and adherence to company procurement procedures.
• Providing a customer service to Kier Business Units, raising and expediting orders. 
• Record cost saving and mitigation and lost opportunity, Negotiation of rates where required and provide feedback to the Category Management team as appropriate on supplier performance, price lists and new business requirements 

What are we looking for?

The role of Procurement Apprentice is great for you if:

• Hold 2 A levels or an equivalent
• Have knowledge of using Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Can work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently
• Possess excellent communication skills with great attention to detail
