We are looking for a Pre Construction Planning Operations Manager in our Leeds business

 

Location: Leeds, Yorkshire 

Hours: Full Time, can consider flexible options 

 

What will you be responsible for?

In the role you will provide high level input to tender and bidding activities with a strong focus on planning and  programme strategy, identifying opportunities and risks and mitigate / maximising through early stage  strategic management of clients, supply chain and internal stakeholders

 

Your day to day will include:

  • High level input into tender and preconstruction planning & project controls across pipeline of high value  construction projects. 
  • Setting high standards and developing staff and ensuring high standards to be maintained to drive performance against regional business plan .
  • Identity and enact operational improvements in the Integrated Programme management of Design,  Procurement and Construction processes bringing together leaders in each discipline.
    Implementing and maintaining governance over all programmes submitted for Tenders. 
  • Working alongside SLT team , utilising reporting KPIs and regular peer reviews to spot early warning signs of  project stress and implement recovery measures where appropriate.
  • Undertaking cross-region peer reviews of programmes and planning procedures, capturing best practice and  advising on correctional measures where identified.

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Pre Construction Planning Operations Manager  is great for you if:

 

  • You hold a construction relevant degree e.g - Construction management, civil engineering, architecture) 
  • You have operated in a tender / pre con planning function within the main contractor environment and be able to demonstrate strategic planning and pre construction 
    management experience. 
  • You are expert in the usage of Asta and Primavera software 
  • You demonstrate experience of directly and indirectly managing and influencing  construction professionals
  • You hold full UK driving license
