We're looking for a Planning Manager to join our Natural Resources team, working on projects in the Thames Valley region (North). In this role you'll lead planning to deliver programmes of work within non-infrastructure schemes like upgrades to wastewater treatment works.
Location: Working from home and site/offices in the northern Thames valley region as and when required
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part time hours may be available if desired, just let us know
Responsibilities
We're looking for a Planning Manager to join our NRNN business unit. You'll lead and manage a team of planners to deliver all programme and project controls outputs for a portfolio of works, under IChemE and NEC contract conditions. This work is with Thames Water on their sewage treatment Waste Asset Assurance Programme (WAAP).
Your day to day will include:
- Being the programme and planning conscience on a portfolio of water asset management works
- Contribute as a planning and programme subject matter expert
- Coach, mentor and manage a diverse planning team, working to identify individuals strengths and weaknesses, ensuring that development plans are put in place
- Review, and where required, produce programmes for acceptance, impact programmes, project controls dashboards, reports and programme narratives, from 1st principles
- Support the commercial team to ensure accurate forecasts, with reference to programme, are produced
What are we looking for?
This Planning Manager is great for you if you have:
- Must have NEC / IChemE contract-based Planning experience, within medium to large scale non-infrastructure project or portfolio work.
- Confidence and experience of managing a planning team.
- Good understanding of commercial and contractual matters and thorough experience and understanding of programming techniques.
- Competency in the use of Primavera P6.
