Location: Birmingham

Hours: 40 hours per week 

What will you be responsible for?

As Planner supporting within the pre-existing Kier project team throughout the pre-construction phase & construction phase. You will be reporting directly to the Programme manager, working with all aspects of internal construction delivery to ensure traffic management and Birmingham City Council (BCC) interfaces are as needed, to facilitate the smooth delivery and capital works deliveries for a varied number of multi-disciplined work streams.

Your day to day will include:

• Driving mid & short-term planning procedures / collaborative planning forums
• Inputting to weekly / fortnightly project team & Programme Manager progress reports, liaising with the internal construction team
• Producing internal planning based monthly progress reports and monthly client progressed programmes and any supportive narrative for review and approval by project leads prior to submission.

What are we looking for?

This role of Planner is great for you if:

• You hold strong knowledge of Birmingham City Council planning procedures and a outline understanding of construction activities
• Have a willingness to work in a re-active and dynamic construction team that will require the need to undertake tasks and roles that are presentedYou have strong knowledge to traffic management design and procurement to adequately facilitate the delivery of capital work stream activities.
• Relevant experience using Microsoft Excel and all other Microsoft based programs
