Kier Group are looking for an Operations Manager to join Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME) which is our internal MEP Self Delivery business.

Kier Mechanical & Electrical support our internal build teams across the UK and have full design, construct and commissioning capability with our core sectors including Defence, Health/Science, Custodial, Commercial and Education.

This role will be operating across our Southern Region which extends from Reading to Southampton and across Sussex and Kent.

Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire.

Contract: Full Time, Permanent. Ask us about other flexible options.

What will you be responsible for?

As an Operations Manager you will form a key part of the senior management team and work closely with the Operations Director for the region.

What will your remit look like?

• Support the local business unit in delivering community-focused building projects
• Manage operational resources (people, finances, physical assets)
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to required quality standards
• Maximise customer satisfaction, project operating margin, and profitability
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously during Preconstruction and Construction phases

The Operations Manager will be involved across a range of areas including Health & Safety, Project Delivery & Strategy, Commercial, People and promoting our D&I initiatives.

• Operational delivery experience within the Mechanical & Electrical sector
• Previous experience of operating across multiple projects and sectors
• Some experience in a team management capacity so you can grow and develop our talent
• A team player who can buy in to the Kier Group's core values
