Management Accountant

We're currently looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join our Kier Places Finance Team. This role will lead the PFI and Facilities Management, business unit, reporting to the Finance Business Partner for Facilities Management.

 

Location: Cardiff - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

Contract: Permanent

 

Responsibilities

 

As a Management Accountant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

 

  • Production of monthly accounts with a detailed analysis and reporting of the results for the business unit responsibility against the annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts.
  • Preparation and presenting P&L accounts for allocated projects and attending monthly P&L Reviews.
  • Preparation of the Annual Budgets and Reforecasts and ensuring operational and contract managers are involved in the preparation of the forecasts.
  • Overall management of the WIP and ensuring that invoicing is done on a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare quarterly business reporting slide decks for review and enquiry by the CEO and CFO.

 

What are we looking for?

 

This role of Management Accountant is great for you if you have:

  • Recently qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or towards final level of professional qualification, with a strong management experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to operate both at transactional and strategic level.
  • Experience of operating to tight deadlines and accurately for the submission of trading results.
  • Effective communication skills, able to engage with non-financial functions and influence change.
