Our ICT team provides design and installation services to the regional Kier Construction businesses, predominantly in the educational sector. Kier's success in securing places on the DfE High Value and Low Value frameworks, as well as continued success winning schools projects with local authorities and academy trusts, means we are now seeking to recruit additional resources into our ICT Team. Location: Nationwide

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

What will you be responsible for?

As ICT Project Manager, you'll be working within the Design ICT team, supporting them in providing subject matter expertise in the design and implementation of ICT solutions into newly built / refurbished schools, ensuring ICT solutions are current, stable, resilient, cost effective and in line with relevant output specifications, compliance and regulations.

Your day to day will include:

  • Delivering projects in accordance with user specifications and timetables, working with colleagues maintaining compliance with ICT designs and representing best value for money
  • Developing and designing ICT solutions for schools (and other sectors) both new-build and refurbishment across the Kier portfolio ensuring technical ICT architecture and its components are current, compatible, provide necessary resilience and adhering to relevant output specifications, regulations and compliance requirements
  • Interpreting requirements, knowing and understanding the various sources of technical information available, being resolute in providing best solutions alongside the relevant requirements for each project / site
  • Readily communicating with customers and supply chain (Kier regional construction businesses, DfE, ESFA, schools, trusts, councils, design teams, technical support staff, and external suppliers) developing ICT design solutions, identifying problems and arriving at required solutions
  • Contributing to the development of the information technology strategy and policies for the Kier Business Services ICT portfolio

What are we looking for?

This role of ICT Project Manager is great for you if:

  • You hold professional qualifications related to this role, experience of working within a voice & data network environment (particularly education sector), network and related infrastructure design for schools in line with latest DfE Output Specification
  • Are able to accept responsibility and make appropriate decisions within agreed delegated limits, good organisation skills with an ability to plan and deliver work effectively, that will involve working on multiple projects at the same time
  • A full driving licence in order to visit other sites / offices
