We're looking for a Highways Safety Inspector to join our Transportation team based in Birmingham. Due to the nature of this role a full driving licence is essential.

Location: Thimble Mil Lane, Birmingham – required to visit sites for inspections
Hours: Permanent, full time of 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
Salary: £26,208 - £28,000 per annum + benefits
What will you be responsible for?
As a Highways Safety Inspector sitting under the banner of the Kier Transportation, you will collect data relating to safety and future improvements so as to safeguard the travelling public, client and Kier, and assist the Steward in all activities relating to inspections.
Your day to day will include:
- Identify defects out on site relating to all asset types
- Build relationships with stakeholders
- Arrange and deliver potential enforcement letters
- Raise works and enquiries within the data management system Confirm

This role of a Highways Safety Inspector is great for you if:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
- Lantra Highway Inspector qualified
- Able to manage stakeholders at all levels
- Able to work alone and prioritise workload
