We're looking for a Health and Safety Apprentice to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks Team based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship in Safety Health & Environment Technician.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £17,888
How does an apprenticeship work?
As a Health and Safety Apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship in Safety Health & Environment Technician, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Natural Resources, Nuclear and Network team to provide design, build and maintenance solutions to protect the UK's essential services and assets.
Your day to day will include:
- Identifying potential hazards and reporting risks
- Checking that PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is being used correctly
- Assisting in maintaining accident records and incident reports
- Supporting health and safety officers in conducting site inspections
What are we looking for?
The role of Health and Safety Apprentice is great for you if you have:
- Level 2 English and Maths
- Driving Licence
- The ability to handle working in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to learn
- Self-motivated, punctual and organised
