We're looking for a Head of Technical to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks - Water.
Where is this role location? Any location within the United Kingdom, with travel to any of Kier's operational teams across the UK.
How many hours: 45 hours per week
What will you be responsible for?
In this senior role, you will ensure Kier are at the forefront when it comes to innovative process solutions, methods of working and technological advances in the industry, rolling these out across new and existing water frameworks. You will be responsible for developing, roll out and updating of Operating Procedures, Minimum Standards, & Guidance Notes specific to MEICA processes. You will oversee the deployment of technical and process improvements, ensuring consistent application and compliance with engineering best practices, regulatory requirements, and operational excellence.
Your day to day will include:
- Strategic Leadership; including developing and implementing a national MEICA strategy for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Technical Oversight; including heading Kier's water business unit's compliance with NICEIC, DSEAR and ATEX regulations
- Project Delivery; including collaboration with other national functional roles in Design, Construction, Commissioning, Planning, Quality and Estimating to ensure engineering requirements are integrated effectively into overall project lifecycles.
What are we looking for?
This role is is great for you if:
- Degree or HNC level qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental or related discipline). Chartered status would be desirable.
- Proven track record in successfully delivering and managing team delivering complex water and wastewater assets.
- Leadership experience with the capability to manage national teams and multiple complex projects concurrently.
