Head of Commissioning

We're looking for a Head of Commissioning to join our Water team as a strategic, functional leader across our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks business division.  

 

Where is this located?: Foley Street, London - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required

How many hours?: 45 hours per week

 

What will you be responsible for?

In this role, you'll be working in the Water team within our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks - Water divison.  You'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Kier's national water business unit commissioning strategy.  It is important that a cohesive alignment and adherence to Kier's policies, procedures, and technical standards across all UK water frameworks, is built and maintained for optimal delivery.

Your day to day will include:

  • Strategic Leadership; including developing and implementing a national strategy for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Oversight; including  providing expert technical input and oversight for the commissioning of water treatment plants, wastewater facilities, pumping stations, pipelines and the related infrastructure.
  • Project Delivery; including working with the pre-construction teams to ensure all commissioning requirements are adequately built into the project lifecycle.

 

What are we looking for?

This role is great for you if:

  • Degree or HNC level qualification in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or related discipline). Chartered status is desirable
  • Extensive experience in commissioning roles within the water/wastewater industry
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing water and wastewater commissioning, health and safety legislation, and environmental standards
