We're looking for a Finance Degree Apprentice to join our Transportation Team based in Birmingham, West Midlands, working towards a Level 6 apprenticeship in Accounts Finance Manager.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands 

Hours: 37.5 hours per week 

Salary: £19,000 - With a salary earning potential of up to £35k+ upon completion of the course!

Start date: September 2025

How does a degree apprenticeship work?

As a Finance Degree Apprentice you'll have the opportunity to gain practical experience whilst you study towards a BSc in Accounts Finance Manager with our university partner, Exeter University, all tuition and accommodation fees covered by us.

You'll work closely with the Transportation Team team to design, build and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people. 

Your day to day will include:

• Helping maintain financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations
• Supporting with forecasting and budget preparation for various departments
• Assisting with internal and external audits by preparing necessary financial documents.
• Engaging with different departments (HR, Procurement, Operations) to understand how finance integrates with overall business functions
• Attending university during pre-determined block weeks to attend lectures and meet other students on your course

What are we looking for?

To enrol onto your degree, you will need:

• Level 4/C or above in GCSE Maths and English
• A-levels (or equivalent) at BBB or existing relevant Level 3 qualifications such as BTEC National Certificate / Diploma / Extended Diploma Or Advanced Diploma

To apply as a mature student, you will need at least 5 years' experience in a related career.
