We're looking for a Fabric Engineer to join our Cambridgeshire Facilities Maintenance team based in Cambridgeshire.

Location: Cambridgeshire


Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

 

What will you be responsible for?

As a Fabric Engineer, you'll be working within the Cambridgeshire Facilities Maintenance team, supporting them in maintaining safe, operational, and high-quality environments across a variety of public service buildings.

Your day to day will include:

  • Surveying and assessing building fabric elements across multiple facilities to identify issues and recommend maintenance or improvements

  • Supporting delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations

  • Collaborating with site teams and clients to ensure smooth delivery of works and exceptional customer service

  • Producing reports and recommendations for minor works, scoping requirements in line with contractual KPIs

  • Ensuring all work adheres to statutory requirements and internal policies

What are we looking for?

This role of Fabric Engineer is great for you if:

  • You have proven experience in a fabric-biased maintenance or surveying role

  • You hold a valid driving licence and are flexible to travel across sites

  • You can work independently and manage a varied workload, including contributing to emergency response rotas
