We're looking for an Environmental Degree Apprentice to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks based in Ridge, Dorset, working towards a Level 6 apprenticeship in Environmental Practitioner.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.
Location: Ridge, Dorset
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £19,000 - with a salary earning potential of 35k+ upon completion of your course!
Start date: September 2025
How does a degree apprenticeship work?
As an Environmental Degree Apprentice you'll have the opportunity to gain practical experience whilst you study towards a BSc in Environmental Practitioner with our university partner, The University of the West of England, all tuition and accommodation fees covered by us.
You'll work closely with the Environment Protection team to provide design, build and maintenance solutions to protect the UK's essential services and assets
Your day to day will include:
- Ensuring the compliance of works are being completed to the MTR, Environment and Pollution Control Specification, EAP and Drawings.
- Completing site administration tasks including document control, materials ordering and assisting in production of environment control documents
- Monitoring the works to ensure health and safety of all and protection of the environment.
- Attending university during pre-determined block weeks to attend lectures and meet other students on your course
What are we looking for?
To enrol onto your degree, you will need:
- Level 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
- 112 UCAS points from a minimum of 2 A-Level (any subjects) or a Level 3 BTEC qualifications will also be considered
To apply as a mature student, you will need at least 5 years' experience in a related career.
