We're looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Anglian Water team based in the East Anglia region
Location: Can be based within the East Anglia region- Northamptonshire/ Norfolk/ Lincolnshire. Mixture of office and visiting sites, and home working
Hours: 45 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
In this role you will be working on the Integrated Maintenance, Repair and Development Services (IMRDS) alliance. The team maintain the water supply systems, repairs emergencies like water bursts and develops new ways to better service customers.
What will you be responsible for?
As an Engineering Manager, you'll be working within the Capital Main laying team, who are committed to delivering high-quality, efficient solutions for critical infrastructure projects.
You'll play a crucial role in overseeing the regional engineering team responsible for delivering main laying schemes, focusing on trenchless and no-dig techniques, including in situ structural liners.
You'll champion innovative solutions to reduce the scope of works, maximise benefits, and ensure the safe, on time and within budget delivery of projects that align with Anglian Water's AMP8 targets.
Your day to day will include:
- Work closely with Design Lead, Enabling Manager and Area Operations Managers to manage, mentor, and develop your engineering team
- Ensure high performance and delivery standards
- Contribute to improving water quality, operational efficiency, and customer service, whilst prioritising safety and well-being across all operations
What are we looking for?
This role of Engineering Manager is great for you if you hold:
- Experience in engineering management, specifically in pipeline, utilities or infrastructure projects
- Extensive knowledge of engineering design, network operations, and capital project delivery
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams
- Deep understanding of health & safety protocols, risk management, and compliance standards
- Ability to drive innovation and cost efficiencies in project delivery
- Demonstrable experience of CDM regulations and identifying, developing and managing new business opportunities
- SMSTS qualified
- Full driving licence
