We're looking for a Design Manager to join our Severn Trent Water framework based in Sheffield.
Location:Sheffield - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
What will you be responsible for?
As a Design Manager, you'll be working within the Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team, supporting the Severn Trent Water framework, taking a key role in ensuring design programmes and quality standards are met through the effective management of external and internal designers, stakeholders and client teams.
Your day to day will include:
- Production of design programmes, design scopes, design responsibility matrices, appointments and schedules
- Contributing to and recording design decisions. Ensuring best practice and lessons learned are recorded
- Ensuring the design is compliant to relevant legislation and technical requirements.
- Managing design consultant appointments and input into supply chain contracts.
What are we looking for?
This role of Design Manager is great for you if:
- You hold a degree-level engineering qualification and ideally have CSCS accreditation or are willing to obtain it.
- You have a full driving licence and are willing to travel to sites and Client meetings as required.
- You have a sound understanding of design principles within the water industry and are familiar with Client standards and regulations.
