We're looking for a Data Engineer to join our Construction Team based in Liverpool

 

Location: Speke, Liverpool - Hybrid working available, with travel to the office required 1- 2 days per week

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

 

What will you be responsible for?

As a Data Engineer, you'll be working within the Construction Team, supporting them in the design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures to support data-driven decision-making within the construction business.

Your day to day will include:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to collect, process, and store data from multiple sources.
  • Integrate data from various internal and external sources to create unified datasets for analysis.
  • Manage and optimize databases and data warehouses to support efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Optimize data processing workflows for performance and scalability.

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Data Engineer is great for you if:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience in data engineering, preferably within the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Java. Experience with data engineering tools and frameworks like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka.
  • Proficiency in managing relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
