Commercial Manager – Highways (Local Authority Term Service Contract)

Location: Glastonbury – remote working available, with travel to the office required
Hours: Permanent Fulltime 40 hours per week some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
Salary: £80,000 - £95,000 per year + bonus + annual car allowance + private healthcare + benefits
What will you be responsible for?
As a Commercial Manager, you'll will work closely with operational teams, local authority stakeholders, and supply chain partners to optimise commercial performance and ensure compliance with contract terms.
Your day to day will include:
- Oversee contract performance ensuring compliance with commercial and contractual obligations on a local authority highways framework
- Manage budgets and control costs mitigating financial risks across multiple projects
- Support procurement and subcontractor management, driving value for money and strong supply chain relationships
- Lead on valuation and payment processes, including variations, applications for payment, and final accounts
What are we looking for?
This role of Commercial Manager is great for you if have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Extensive commercial experience in highways or infrastructure, ideally on local authority term contracts
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, including administration and negotiation experience
