We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager responsible for implementing and delivering on commercial strategic objectives that are relevant to the activities associated with the role. The candidate will have overall day-to-day commercial responsibility for a commercial team from inception to completion of the work, ensuring that the Company's governance and any contract-specific requirements are adhered to at all times.
Location: Devonport Dockyard Naval Base, Plymouth
Hours: Full Time, Permanent, 45 hours per week
Responsibilities
As a Commercial Manager you'll be working within the Devonport Dockyard team, supporting them in the redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site,
Your day to day will include:
- Measure works carried out and reconcile to Target Cost.
- Prepare monthly and final applications for payment.
- Placing and subsequent financial management of sub-contract agreements.
- Assist, guide and support the operational teams in the areas of: Contract Compliance; the financial impact of decisions; value maximisation/cost-saving techniques; procurement strategy.
- Accurately monitor, forecast and report project cost and value.
What are we looking for?
This role of Commercial Manager is great for you if:
- Experience on NEC contracts with Target Costs
- Extensive experience in drafting effective contractual correspondence and the facilitation of collaborative solutions
- Experience in developing & implementing procurement and contract strategies
- Experience with Causeway accounting systems
