We're looking for a Buyer to join our Procurement Team based in Northamptonshire.
Location: Rushden, - hybrid working available, with travel to the office required 1 day a week
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
What will you be responsible for?
As a Buyer you'll be working within the Procurement Team, Supporting the Category Management team in delivering value for money for the client.
Your day to day will include:
- Manage ticket requests from the business in line with SLA's
- Raise purchase orders for projects and site teams for projects as requested via internal systems.
- Manage / support tenders as appropriate
- Carry out pricing and benchmarking exercises as appropriate
- Ensure urgent orders are approved by the business in a timely manner
- Achieve individual savings target which contributes to the overall team target
- Record cost saving and mitigation and lost opportunity
- Maximise opportunities to utilise preferred suppliers
- Provide feedback to the Category Management team as appropriate on supplier performance, price lists and new business requirements

- Good interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the business and with external clients.
