We're looking for an Assistant Bid Manager to join Kier's Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team based Nationwide.
This opportunity would suit someone who is in the early stages of their career or looking to transition from another section. We welcome individuals who are eager for a new challenger and are proactive, adaptable and passionate about learning. Prior engineering or construction experience is not required - we welcome applicants regardless of industry experience
Location: Nationwide - this role is mostly remote with occasional travel required
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility on start and finish times available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
What will you be responsible for?
As an Assistant Bid Manager, you'll be working within Kier's Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks preconstruction team, supporting them in work winning, including the overall management of the tender opportunity, developing solutions, actively participating in programming, resourcing and pricing tasks, working closely with designers and engaging with subcontractors and suppliers.
Your day to day will include:
- Assist in the development of tenders, working collaboratively with the bid lead and review all bid documents, ensuring understanding and compliance with client requirements.
- Maintain action logs through updating in meetings, issuing after sessions and updating throughout, following up with people as required.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and supporting materials for key sessions such as gateways, kick-off meetings and client presentations.
- Support in issuing documentation in advance of sessions, for example draft risk registers ahead of risk and opportunity workshops.
- Ensure that tenders are produced to meet business requirements and that these are submitted for management approval and to the customer to meet defined time schedules.

- Proficient user of Microsoft software (i.e. Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal skills – being able to present written information in a professional and concise format
