Assistant Accountant

We're currently looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to provide support to the relevant Finance team and assist with all aspects of the accounting and financial related matters. This role will support the creation of financial information, improvement of efficient working practices and resolution of queries in a timely manner.

 

Location: Flexible, hybrid role and can operate from anyone of our hub office locations.

Contract: Permanent, full-time and able to consider part-time opportunities

 

Responsibilities

 

As an Assistant Accountant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

                                                                                         

  • Assisting with the preparation of the balance sheet by ensuring all cost transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Assisting in the production of management information ensuring it is reported in a timely and accurate manner for the key areas owned by this role.
  • Maintaining clear, and precise records to ensure an adequate audit trail.
  • Liaison with all Kier entities (both FSSC and Business Units) and other teams within NRNN.
  • Supporting continuous improvement to systems and processes that are in place to ensure best practice through the creation of new simplified excel models

 

What are we looking for?

 

This role of Assistant Accountant is great for you if you have:

  • Started studying towards AAT, CIMA or ACCA qualification.
  • Good knowledge of core financial systems and general accounting procedures
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • An ability to work to tight deadlines and be capable of delivering high levels of customer service, both personally and through the high quality of interactions with customers
