We're currently looking for an Asset Technician to join our Transportation team based in Brixworth, Northamptonshire. This is a key role providing asset management support to both internal teams and external clients, ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the highway network.
Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
What will you be responsible for?
As an Asset Technician, you will be responsible for conducting both walked and driven safety inspections of the highway network. You will support the delivery of asset management services and contribute to the identification and planning of necessary maintenance activities.
Your typical day will involve:
- Capturing, analysis, and maintenance of asset data and performance information
- Contribute to lifecycle planning, inspection programme administration, and continuous improvement of asset data systems
- Carrying out walked and driven safety inspections on the highway network in line with national standards such as the Highway Safety Inspection Manual and the Code of Practice: Well-Managed Highway Infrastructure
- Recording and reporting inspection findings using our asset management system
- Creating detailed work packs for the maintenance teams to address identified defects
