We're looking for an Apprentice Paralegal to join our Commercial Contracts team based in Cambridge, working towards a Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.

How does an apprenticeship work?
As an Apprentice Paralegal you'll be enrolled onto a Level 3 Paralegal apprenticeship giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll be working with our Kier Construction team who work with public sector and blue-chip organisations to deliver outstanding construction projects, gaining an understanding of corporate governance, contractual management and procedures, whilst harnessing our strategic capabilities and digital construction to help clients meet their decarbonisation goals.
Your day to day will include:
- Assisting Contract Officers with the preparation of Permissions to Proceed (PTP) for project tender & framework opportunities
- Facilitating and supporting Contract Officers and Technical Administrators in negotiating and resolving terms & conditions both upstream and downstream
- Liaising with internal Kier Departments in connection with parent company guarantees, bonds and insurances and disseminating responses / updating documents accordingly
- Compiling, checking and tracking contract documents
- You will work with the Eastern & Midlands team which covers a wide geographical area utilising varied forms of contracts and exposure to public and private clients
What are we looking for?
The role of Paralegal Apprentice is great for you if:
- You hold 5 GCSE's including English and Maths grade C/ L4 and above
- Hold or are expecting 2 A Levels or equivalent
- You have an interest in Business Law, Corporate Law, Contract Law or governance
- Can work collaboratively as part of a wider team
- Are punctual, self-motivated, detail-orientated and willing to learn
